For many years after we came home from Germany, I corresponded with a sweet and lovely girl that I met while living there. When we lost contact, it was with great regret. The last letter that I sent to her was returned to me with no forwarding address. I've often wondered about her and what she did with her life. I've also wondered about a girl I communicated with who lived in Japan. It is with bittersweet memories that I think of them from time to time.As I think of those around the globe who were once friends, it brings to mind other friendships that have been made along the way. I have been blessed with two lifelong friendships, which I've written about here. This one I am still in contact with, the other had cancer and is no longer here.
