Around the Globe

For many years after we came home from Germany, I corresponded with a sweet and lovely girl that I met while living there. When we lost contact, it was with great regret. The last letter that I sent to her was returned to me with no forwarding address. I've often wondered about her and what she did with her life. I've also wondered about a girl I communicated with who lived in Japan. It is with bittersweet memories that I think of them from time to time.

As I think of those around the globe who were once friends, it brings to mind other friendships that have been made along the way. I have been blessed with two lifelong friendships, which I've written about here. This one I am still in contact with, the other had cancer and is no longer here.

Friendships are for
A Reason
A Season
A Lifetime
This is a friend who became very dear to me before we moved. She and I spent many hours talking together. We could talk about anything and everything. I've been blessed with friendships in the past, friendships now and certainly look forward to the friendships that I will make in the future.

Thankful for your friendship and for stopping by!

You are so right Rita. Friends are such a special gift from God. To share hearts and kindred spirits makes life sweeter.

I know you are THAT kind of a friend. :)

Love Is... given to us for many reasons, you are blessed to have both memories of those who you cannot locate, those who went to Heaven & those you can still enjoy your deep growing relationship of love with.

We, too, have had these same moments in life ... & the same 'wondering'.

Lovely share, Rita.
Hugs, Marydon
