Freedom Is Not Free

That old saying that "Freedom is not free" is quite true.  It cost the lives of many men who were willing to fight for our freedom.

This was so impressive as we watched him guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We are so blessed to live in a nation that has lived free, free to go where we want to go...

This was a vacation we took when the boys were young.
Free to do what we want to do...

Even ride a bike where we want to!
And free to say what we want to say as long as it doesn't hurt others...

The boys looking at the Liberty Bell.
Ah, we are soooo blessed!  Have a very good Memorial Day and tell those who served, especially those in your family, how much they mean to you and thank them for your freedom.

Enjoy eating hot dogs and hamburgers and thanks for stopping by,
Rita

We're trying so hard to make our kids understand what military service means to our way of life. So many just don't 'get it', and that includes adults as well as children. I always try to thank anyone I see in uniform. It's a good habit. :) Hope that you and yours have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Rita My Precious Sweet Friend...
What a beautiful share this evening. It is so true. We have many, many freedoms thanks to our wonderful soldiers, men and women who have fought to give us these rights. A beautiful tribute this evening.

Hugs, hugs and more hugs to you. Hope you have a special day planned tomorrow. Ours will be lazy. Lounging by the pool and a BBQ. My flag is already up and lit in the light of the porch, flying in the breeze.

Much love sweet one, Sherry

No, it's not free. The men in our family have paid a high price for it, haven't they? I love you.
