Did you eat out for Mother's Day?
Robert wanted to take me out to eat
and I opted to go on Friday night,
instead of Mother's Day, as there is
always such a crowd then.
We went to eat a seafood buffet
and it was soooo good!
I love to eat out, but don't like to
be there when there are
many, many people as I knew
there would be for the holiday!
I got to talk to all my children,
grandchildren and my sister today,
so I had a wonderful day.

We do the same thing. When we go out we like to be able to HEAR ourselves talk & enjoy the lovely quiet of our time together.

I'm so glad you had a good Mother's Day. I went out to lunch with my SIL Saturday and then we went for pedicures. Sunday was kind of quiet but I got to talk to all my kids. Have a great week, Friend.:)
When it's just Phil and me, I don't mind waiting in the crowd for a table to come available. But when we have the kids with us, that's not such a great thing. They're really good and don't mind waiting, but I feel like it is so much wasted family time. Phil and I can sit or stand and talk, making an 'us' time of it. With the kids it isn't quite so simple.
I'm glad you had a great dinner no matter what day you celebrated! :) We had a wonderful weekend, too. Had all my kids here and my grandkids, too.
Dean and I aren't big on the crowds either...We love to go when things are quite, seems we enjoy our meal so much more. Glad you had a good Mother's Day..Dean has been sick with a "bug" so we stayed home, all the kids called and I talked to my Mom..It was a very quite but lovely day.

I am the same, I don't like crowded restaurants. My son (and my husband) took me out to dinner on Saturday evening. On Sunday, I actually decided to cook a nice Mother's Day lunch. We had such a great time.
