She's Gone Home

Love Is... having someone comfort you when you lose a friend.

It started out by overhearing a conversation.  She told someone that her fan in the master bedroom needed cleaning, but that she just couldn't get up on a stool to clean it.  I told her that I lived near by and would come do it for her.  It was the best good deed that I had done, for you see, it started a good friendship.  The lady I am talking about was on my post a couple of weeks ago.  You can find that here.

She always had a Dr Pepper in her fridge for me when I went over.  We would sit at the table or on her couch and talk, talk, talk.  The last time I talked to her she told me that she still had a DP in the fridge ready for when I came again.  She loved the little "baker" which is quite evident by her kitchen.

Today, a friend of mine called me and told me that Norma has gone home to be with the Lord.  We have talked from time to time since we moved out here and I will miss talking and visiting with her.  I missed her and visiting with her so much, after we moved here.  She and I could talk about anything and everything.  We didn't always agree on everthing that we talked about, but both of us agreed that it was ok to disagree!  It didn't change our friendship one bit.  We agreed more than we disagreed.  I am going to miss her.  She was a lovely lady.  She is in her Heavenly home now and I know she is happy.

Thanks for stopping by.
Rita

If you want to see a picture of her (at the bottom of my post here) I would love for you to see her.  Blogger is not uploading any of my pictures, so I have none to show tonight.  Maybe tomorrow!

I'm so sorry Rita. You will miss such a special friend. These days I'm saying it a lot... 'the crowd up there is growing'.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Rita. I remember reading the post about her. I think it was sweet of her to always keep a Dr. Pepper in the fridge for you. It's those little things that mean a lot.

You were both blessed with an extraordinary friendship that you both treasured. She now sits at the feet of Jesus, Rita ... bless her soul.

Prayers for you both ... may she rest in peace ... may you treasure your memories.

Hugs,
Marydon
