I've been away for a few days, as my computer wouldn't work. I couldn't upload any pictures, I couldn't answer any e-mails, and it was frustrating!
I was thinking today about a time when I was a little girl. My parents went to the "strawberry patch" to pick strawberries. I was given a small pail to put the ones which I picked into it. But guess what? By time we got to the end of picking, I didn't have any in my bucket! They were all in my tummy! Mom said I wasn't feeling too well after eating all those strawberries.
My sister would not eat strawberries, because they had "little seeds" all over them. After she was grown and married, she and her husband had dinner with some important people that would have been offended if she had not eaten her strawberries that were served with their dinner. She found out what she had been missing all those years! Today she loves strawberries and I love her!
Try it before you decide you don't like something and thanks for stopping by!

Oh Rita Sweetie...
Beautiful post. I love it, and love strawberries as well. Oh my strawberry shortcake is my all time favorite. Yummy. I'll be right over with some shortcake, so get those strawberries ready.
Hope you have a beautiful Friday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
I love strawberries! And I'm afraid I would have the same problem if I went picking. ;) Isn't it fun to remember those sweet times from our childhood?
That's so funny. I didn't know that. In fact, I didn't eat strawberries either (for the same reason) until I was in my 20s. Jeffrey served them to me and I ate them so I wouldn't hurt his feelings. Who knew they were so good!

I love your post about your sister and the strawberries. As a child, I picked the wild berries for pies , and rarely got back with a full basket too. lol
